Newman Valley Studio is nestled in a valley near the French Broad River at the foothills of the Great Smokey Mountains in Kodak, Tennessee. This historic family farm allows for the seclusion a creative artist/craftsman needs, yet is only 5 minutes away from Interstate 40.

My husband Joe and I, along with our two boys, Joe Jr. and John, live and work on this 200 year old family farm. Please call ahead for an appointment and "come visit the farm".

map to farm

FROM KNOXVILLE: Follow I-40 to Exit 402 - Midway Road. Follow Midway Road 2.5 miles to Maples Road, Maples Road 7/10 mile to Kodak Road, Kodak Road 3/10 mile to Kelly Lane and Bethel Church, Kelly Lane 1/10 mile to Newman Lane. It's not even 1/10 mile, you just "turn, and turn". In fact, we usually just go through the Church parking lot and don't even bother turning onto Kelly Lane. Once you are on Newman Lane, you're on our farm. Go 1/2 mile down Newman Lane from the Church. We're in a two-story building behind a mobile home on the right.

FROM MORRISTOWN, HWY. 66 or SEVIERVILLE: Take 407 Sevierville/Gatlinburg exit and turn left. Go over the interstate and take the first right, (or last left before the interstate) which is Dumplin Valley Road. Go past Flea Market to stop sign (Douglas Dam Road). Go straight through stop sign to 1st road on right, (at a trailer park) Kodak Road. Turn there, go 3 miles to Bethel United Methodist Church on your left. Turn left beside the Church onto Kelly Lane. Just as soon as you turn left onto Kelly Lane, turn immediately right onto Newman Lane. Proceed as from Knoxville.

FROM MARYVILLE: Take Alcoa Hwy. to John Sevier Hwy. Take John Sevier Hway. past Chapman Hwy. to Strawberry Plains Pike. Turn right on Strawberry Plains Pike and go until you get to I-40. Take I-40 East to 402, Midway Road. Proceed as from Knoxville.
